UNITED MUSLIM MARTIAL ARTIST ASSOCIATION
OBJECTIVE
Establish and maintain quality, integrity, unity and cooperation amongst all Muslim martial artists worldwide by promoting &
enhancing the image of Muslims throughout the world & confirming that there is only One God and Prophet Muhammad is the
Last Messenger.
• encouraging Islamic unity and comradeship thereby overcoming the competition and petty jealousies too prevalent martial
arts communities
• creating ongoing dialogues between martial art instructors and practitioners to refine, update and educate each other
concerning issues that plaque the Muslims who teach and study Martial Arts
• producing documentaries for worldwide distribution to the international marketplace for dissemination and understanding of
Muslim culture
MISSION STATEMENT AND GOAL
It is the goal of the United Muslim Martial Artist Association to unite the practitioners of all known Martial Arts under an
umbrella of “international brotherhood” and cooperation – recognizing the merits of all styles and schools as being equally
relevant and appreciated. Any and all Muslim Martial Artist will be welcomed and respected, providing they adhere to the
tenets of “La ilaha il Allah Muhammadar Rasulullah. (There’s no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger). We also
welcome any and all Grandmasters, Masters, Sensei, Shidoshis, Gurus, etc., to become members of this prestigious
community.
Furthermore, we seek to overcome the petty rivalries and jealousies that pervade so many similar societies and to relegate
competition to “sporting events”. No politics and no denigration of any Muslims or styles will be tolerated, and the Council will
aggressively defend any who are unjustly or unfairly treated within the community.
It is our sincere hope that we may establish a “Code of Ethics” for members that will be welcomed and subscribed to by martial
arts organizations, clubs and practitioners worldwide. We vow to uphold the five pillars of faith, the tenets of Islam, loyalty to
fellow martial artist and devotion to the martial arts. This tradition must be diligently upheld.
To command a high-ranking International Honorary-Board, who are drawn from prominent Muslim grandmasters, martial arts
legends and fighting sports champions.
The goal of U.M.M.A.A is to create high-ranking Muslim Martial Art experts from all over the world to. To teach the religion of
Islam in accordance to the Qur’aan and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). In addition, U.M.M.A.A intends to maintain
contacts in different international and national recognized professional associations.
U.M.M.A.A has a high-ranking executive committee, which consists of Muslim Grandmasters and Gurus.
With the appointment of representatives in areas around the world, annual banquets, promotions, seminars, ongoing
communication and “Good Will Tours” demonstrating our arts in an Islamic manner – we hope to achieve our goals and
dreams for The United Muslim Martial Artist Association.
