The Founder of Sirat as Sayf International is a dedicated practicing Muslim with nearly four decades of martial arts experience. He has a background in Urban Street-fighting,
Sanuces Ryu Jiu Jitsu, Kali, Eskrima, Arnis De mano, Dumog, Sikaran, Silak, Panantukan, Kuntaw, Grappling, Maisonet Muay Thai Kickboxing, Survival Strategies & Tactics, Archery
and Projectile weapons, and a variety of applications and concepts of Chinese martial arts.
Muallim Najee Hassan studied the Sayoc Kali-Silak Stick Fighing System and Sayoc Kali under Pamana Tuhon Christopher C. Sayoc, Sr. the inheritor and fifth generation Master of
his family's art since 1976. He holds a rank of Lakan Apat Guro (fourth degree black belt instructor) in the art of Sayoc Fighting System under Grandtuhon Baltazar C. Sayoc Sr.
and the same rank in Pekiti-Tirsia Kali. In 2006 he was honored with the rank of Professor in under Sijo Abdul Mutakabbir, founder of SWAM Academy of Modern Martial Arts and
trainer of champions. He has the responsibility of training the high ranking members in the art of Kali. Mu'allim Najee is also a certified Paralegal and Facilitator of Substance
Abuse, Violent Behavior Awareness & Conflict Resolution.
Ustadha Rahma Hassan
Is the wife of Mu'allim Najee Hassan and a dedicated practicing Muslimah. As the Co-founder, Administrator & Chief Financial Officer of Sirat al Sayf International with more than
twenty years of experience in martial arts, she diligently manages the business and social matter of the system in accordance to the Qur'aan and Sunnah. She is a Columbia
University graduate trained in Law, Business, Sociology, Psychology, Human Resources, Finance, Education, Conflict Resolution, Diplomacy, Advocacy, Holistic and Rehabilitative
Medicine.
Ustadha Rahma has studied the concepts and practical applications of Urban Street Fighting, Wing Chun, Dim Mak, Tiger Claw, Tai Chi Chuan, Akido, Firearms, Micro and Macro
Weaponry, Archery, Fencing, Projectiles, Kali, Acupressure, Survival Strategies and Tactics. She enjoys islaamic events, fasting, reading Qur'aan, horseback riding, water sports,
camping, fishing, nature, and training with her husband Mu'allim Najee Hassan.
Ustadha Rahma was a student of Tiger Claw Kung Fu under SWAM’s Sijo Abdul Mutakabbir’s wife Naquavah. Currently, she teaches the Sirat al Sayf system, which incorporates
many of her gender-specific specialized techniques, and continues her religious studies and advance techniques of Filipino martial arts with her life-long partner and husband. She
strives to give balance to her community and neighbors by expressing in her actions that by the mercy of The Almighty Creator "a peaceful heart unifies the tranquility of the mind
with the power of the spirit resulting in prosperity of the soul and a healthy happily lived life.
Kru Hamza Maisonet
Kru Hamza Maisonet has trained in various martial arts systems since the age of four. He is certified in the arts of Jeet Kune Do, Kickboxing, Western Boxing, Jiu Jitsu, Yau Kung
Mun and Muay Thai. Kru Hamza has been a three time professional kickboxing champion and is a former USMTA Muay Thai Champion in two different weight divisions. Kru Hamza
was trained and certified Kru Yodtong sennans's Sityotong Muay Thai Boxing Camp located 150 kilometers south of Bangkok just on the outskirts of the city of Pattaya in Thailand,
and has received his instructors certificate from Kru Yodtong Senanan in 1995. He now teaches the Muay Thai curriculum at the SWAM Academy of Modern Martial Art School in
Jamaica Queens, New York.

Professor Sayfullaah Al-Amriykiy has been studying the Martial Arts for over 40 years. He began his training in the Bronx, New York at the age of 10 years old in 1965. He
started training in Shotokan Karate-Jutsu and Sanuces Ryu Jiu Jitsu under Grandmaster James Walter Yates and Grandmaster Nathaniel McBride (a student of Dr. Moses Powell).
In 1975, Professor Sayfullaah began to train under Dr. Moses Powell directly and in 1994 he received his 7th Degree Black Belt in Sanuces Ryu and the title of “Shihan.” In 1993
and 1995, he trained under Osamu Ozawa Shihan, the Senior Japanese Shotokan Instructor in the Western hemisphere that trained directly under the Founder Gichin Funakoshi,
and was awarded his 3rd and 4th Degree Black Belts. Professor Sayfullaah is a member of The Sanuces Ryu Eye To Eye Jiu Jitsu Federation, The Karate Nomichi World Federation
(Japan) and serves as a Senior Technical Advisor to The Philadelphia Historic Martial Arts Society. Professor Sayfullaah’s Martial Arts journey has been filled with numerous
achievements and accolades. He was the Super-Lightweight World Champion of the New York Professional Kick-Boxing Association (1981-1985) and was ranked 5th in the world by
the Professional Karate Association. He placed in The Traditional Karate International Confederation World Karate Championships (1993): Senior Division Gold Medalist in Kumite
and Bronze Medalist in Kata. He was featured in Sanuces Ryu Jiu Jitsu Tape #4 (1994) and Sanuces Ryu Jiu Jitsu DVD “Touch and Go! Vol. 1” (2004) with Dr. Moses Powell. He was
appointed as Ambassador by Dr. Moses Powell to take the Warrior Within Dojo Demo Team and represent Sanuces Ryu Jiu Jitsu in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the Royal
Family and Scholars of Islaam (15 demonstrations were performed). Professor Sayfullaah also codirected and co-produced the movie “Watch Your Back!!!” featuring the Legendary
Dr. Moses Powell. The Professor has been inducted into the Action Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008; the World Karate Union Hall of Fame in 2003 and
2006; the Budo International Magazine Hall of Fame in 2006; the United States Head of Family Martial Arts Association Hall of Honor in 2006; the American Cities Foundation
